Panda Express receives top operator award; teams up with NBA team

ROSEMEAD, Calif. — Panda Express was honored as the "Best Food and Beverage Brand Operator" by Airport Revenue News, an airport trade magazine. According to a news release, the chain received the award over 19 nominees.

The annual poll awards, judged by airport retail industry experts, also nominated Panda Express in several other categories including: "Food Concept Operator with Highest Regard for Customer Service" and "Best Airport Food & Beverage Operator."

Panda Express debuted their first airport restaurant in 1995 at the Denver International Airport, and now has seven airport locations nationwide including:

Denver International Airport, Colo. (two locations)
Portland International Airport, Ore.
Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, Ky.
George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Houston, Texas
Dulles International Airport, Washington, D.C.
Boston Logan International Airport, Mass.

In other Panda news, the Asian fast-casual teamed-up with the Dallas Mavericks to giveaway a VIP suite for a game. The 3-point package includes food and beverage for 18 people. Sweepstake participants will be vying to watch the Mavericks take on the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets on April 8. The all-inclusive prize is valued at $4,500.
