Five Guys has launched a five-episode docuseries on Prime Video highlighting the high-stakes world of its internal crew competition.
Titled "On The Line: The World Burger Games," the series follows store employees from local qualifying rounds around the globe to the ultimate Five Guys Games championship. The series was produced by sports and entertainment studio Full Day Productions in collaboration with Lost Tribe Creative, according to a company press release.
The Five Guys Games originated in 2013 as a family initiative to recognize restaurant employees. This year's tournament drew global participants competing in three speed and precision events: the potato race, cheese race, and dressing/quality control race.
"The games began as a thank you to the people who make Five Guys what it is," Jerry Murrell, Five Guys founder, said in the release. "Now, I'm watching crews from across the world compete on a brand new stage. I honestly don't have words for it."
The 2026 Five Guys Games concluded May 13 at The Theater at MGM National Harbor in Maryland. Jonathan Martinez of Poughkeepsie, New York — nicknamed "The Terminator" — defeated former champions to take home the championship belt and a $100,000 grand prize.
The finale was hosted by sports broadcaster Charissa Thompson, who conducted pre- and post-event interviews with the competitors.
"At its heart, this series is about the people who bring Five Guys to life every day; their pride, dedication, camaraderie and the incredible culture they've built across the globe," David Chamberlin, president of Full Day Productions, said in a press release.
Jason Saffran, CEO of Lost Tribe Creative, said that watching the event evolve from a small trade-show contest into a global competition has been inspiring.
"The opportunity to share these crew members' journeys from their homes around the world to the big stage has been as profound and electrifying as the games themselves," Saffran said in the release.
Founded in 1986 in Arlington, Virginia, Five Guys operates 2,000 locations across 30 countries.
