WaBa Grill is on track to exceed $1 million in average unit volumes and reported 10% same-store sales growth early this year, according to a company press release.
The Irvine, California-based brand, with nearly 200 locations across four states, is launching a variety of 2026 initiatives to keep up the growth.
In May, WaBa Grill will launch a first-party catering program with digital ordering to expand beyond office lunches. Summer plans include soccer-themed menu items—such as the Penalty Punch, Yellow Card Combo and Red Card Combo—along with the return of Kids Eat Free and extended WaBeverage Happy Hours.
Later in the year, in observance of its 20th anniversary, WaBa Grill plans value-driven promotions and customer incentives.
"WaBa Grill enters 2026 with strong operational momentum and clear growth visibility," President and COO Afshin Compani said in a press release, also citing unit economic gains, steady daypart performance and engagement with menu innovation.
