The Gyro Project will open its 10th location on Oct. 15 at 600 9th Ave., in Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, marking its seventh unit in New York City.

The 1,200-square-foot restaurant features 14 indoor seats, including window and counter seating, for dine-in, takeout, and delivery. Designed to mirror the aesthetic of the brand's Upper East Side unit, the site serves lunch and dinner daily from 10 a.m. to midnight.

The menu highlights traditional Greek street food, including chicken, pork, and lamb-and-beef gyro pita wraps; platters served with rice, salad, and pita; tzatziki and hummus; loaded Greek fries; and Greek frozen yogurt. The Hell's Kitchen store will also mark the New York City debut of the brand's Dubai Chocolate Froyo.

Founded in July 2023 in Fort Lee, New Jersey, by childhood friends George Tenedios and Spiro Kokkosis, the concept has grown to 10 total sites across New York and New Jersey in three years.

"We're thrilled to reach this milestone with the opening of our 10th location at 600 9th Avenue," Tenedios, co-owner of The Gyro Project, said in a company press release. "Hell's Kitchen is such an energetic and diverse neighborhood, and we're excited to bring our authentic Greek flavors and fast-fine approach to the community."

The opening follows the June launch of the brand's Upper East Side location at 1260 Lexington Ave., which introduced its family-style Feta-Brined Rotisserie Chicken to the city.

Ahead of the public opening, the brand will host culinary students from local Food and Finance High School on Oct. 14 for a "Building a Brand" session and entrepreneurship Q&A led by Tenedios.

The Gyro Project plans to open additional Manhattan locations in Union Square and Times Square by winter 2026.
