Shipley Donuts expands national footprint in Q3

Shipley Donuts grew its national footprint in the third quarter, signing franchise agreements for new locations in the Midwest, Southeast and Texas while celebrating its 90th anniversary.

Following an Ohio development agreement in the second quarter, Shipley signed a franchise deal in July for 15 locations across Oakland, Macomb and Wayne counties in metro Detroit. The first restaurant is targeted to open in late first-quarter 2027. In Indianapolis, a franchise partner signed an agreement for three locations.

Other third-quarter agreements will bring Shipley locations to Atlanta; Rockwall and El Paso, Texas; the Dallas-Fort Worth area; and Indian River and St. Lucie counties in Florida.

The Houston-based company also celebrated its 90th anniversary in September with a 10-week promotion featuring its 1936 Birthday Box.

Shipley has more than 390 franchised and company-owned restaurants across 13 states and is seeking qualified franchise operators.
