Shipley Donuts grows footprint with 9-shop franchise deals in Q2

Shipley Donuts expanded its national presence during the first half of 2026, signing franchise agreements for nine shops, entering three new markets and launching an online catering platform.

During the second quarter, the Houston-based chain inked four franchise agreements, including its first nonprofit franchise partnership in South Dallas. Additional agreements will bring three shops to Cincinnati, Ohio, two to Raleigh, North Carolina, and three to Stillwater, Oklahoma.

The brand also opened its first location in El Paso, Texas, in March, followed by new-market openings in Bossier City, Louisiana, in May and Vienna, Virginia, in June. Shipley is preparing to celebrate its 90th anniversary in September.

The company also launched a dedicated online catering platform offering custom bundles, coffee and mini kolaches. Catering is available for pickup or delivery from more than 350 Shipley locations.

"The first half of 2026 has been one of the strongest growth periods for Shipley Donuts, bringing together franchise development, thoughtful menu innovation and national recognition," CEO Flynn Dekker said in a press release.

Shipley Donuts has over 390 franchised and company-owned restaurants across 13 states.
