Restaurant loyalty platform Thanxhas integrated with Kea, an AI-powered phone-ordering system, to help restaurants reward customers who place orders by phone, while capturing more data about their actions.
According to the companies, customers place 10 to 15% of restaurant orders via phone, but restaurants often can't identify those customers or connect them with loyalty programs, making it difficult to track their behavior or reward repeat visits. With the integration, Kea's technology recognizes a caller's phone number and links it to an existing Thanx loyalty account or prompts the customer to enroll. Customers earn loyalty points on orders, while restaurants gain access to data such as order frequency and purchasing patterns. Kea's Voice AI also can be configured to recognize loyalty members and provide a personalized greeting when they call.
"Phone ordering is a high-intent channel that restaurants can't afford to treat as an afterthought," Kea founder and CEO Adam Ahmad said in a press release."Our integration with Thanx bridges the gap between voice and digital."
The loyalty enrollment and points-accrual integration is available to restaurants that use both Thanx and Kea.
