Kayla Edidin has been named chief operating officer of Red Door Brands, a franchise company that owns and operates brands including McAlister's Deli, Little Caesars, Arby's and Main Squeeze Juice Co.
Edidin, formerly vice president of franchise development for Mike's Red Tacos, will focus on operational improvements, system standardization and strategic expansion. She also plans to leverage banking relationships to attract capital partners, with a goal of scaling Red Door's restaurant portfolio to more than 100 units by 2028.
Red Door faced challenges when one of its owned franchisees, Matador Restaurant Group LLC of Greenville, South Carolina, filed for Chapter 11 protection in July 2025. The entity took this action in the fact of weak same-store sales and high operational costs tied to its Del Taco operations. The process allowed the company to streamline operations and refocus on long-term performance.
Red Door Brands said it is positioned to return to growth under Edidin's leadership and renewed investment.
"Kayla's substantial background in restaurant operations and franchise development makes her uniquely qualified to strengthen our existing restaurants and continue growing our portfolio," CEO Argus Wiley said in a press release.
