Insomnia Cookies is bringing some serious girl power to its menu this summer.
The brand has teamed up with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products to launch two limited-edition treats inspired by the upcoming DC Studios big-screen epic, "Supergirl."
The flavors, Red Velvet Revenge and Lemon Solar Punch, rolled out Tuesday at participating bakeries across the U.S. and Canada, offering fans a sweet prelude to the film's June 26 theatrical release.
The Red Velvet Revenge cookie features a red velvet base with a blue sugar cookie dough center and red velvet crumble, inspired by a galactic rest stop setting in the film. The Lemon Solar Punch cookie combines a lemon base with strawberry jam and a toasted honey crumble, a nod to the yellow suns that power the superhero's abilities.
"At Insomnia Cookies, we love creating moments worth savoring," Seth Berkowitz, founder and CEO of Insomnia Cookies, said in a company press release. "We're excited to partner with DC Studios and Warner Bros. to celebrate Supergirl with two delicious cookies inspired by the film."
In addition to the flavors, participating locations will offer limited-edition, collectible "Supergirl"-branded box sleeves for 6-inch and 10-inch cookie boxes while supplies last.
The cookies are available in-store, for pickup and via local delivery through the company's mobile app and website.
The film, directed by Craig Gillespie and starring Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El, follows the titular character on an interstellar journey. The movie also stars Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley and David Krumholtz, with appearances by David Corenswet and Jason Momoa.
Founded in 2003 at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia-based Insomnia Cookies operates more than 350 late-night bakery locations across the country.
