Beyond Juicery + Eatery has added Grammy-nominated recording artist and entrepreneur Flo Rida as an equity stakeholder in a multimillion-dollar deal aimed at speeding up the fast-casual chain's growth, according to a company press release.

The rapper, whose given name is Tramar Dillard, will help guide the brand's expansion into the health, wellness and lifestyle space. His involvement will extend beyond opening restaurants to include brand development, strategic partnerships and consumer engagement initiatives.

As part of the deal, Beyond Juicery + Eatery plans to expand into South Florida markets, tapping Flo Rida's business background and public profile to support what the company called a national growth push.

Board member Niko Moschouris led the partnership talks, with support from co-founder Mijo Alanis.

"I've always believed that success starts with taking care of yourself, and wellness has always been a core part of how I approach life and business," Flo Rida said in a statement, adding that he was drawn to menu items including the Blue Mood Rush smoothie and the Turkey Dijon Wrap.

Alanis said the company had been looking for a franchise partner who would be hands-on with the brand rather than simply lending a name to it.

"That's exactly the kind of franchise partner we want representing Beyond," Alanis said.

The franchise agreement was brokered by The Law Office of Joseph Adeife, which represented Flo Rida in the deal. Adeife said the partnership would help drive the chain's expansion across South Florida and beyond, with more details on the strategy expected in the coming months.

Founded in 2005 in Birmingham, Michigan, by Alanis and Pam Vivio, Beyond Juicery + Eatery serves made-to-order smoothies, juices, bowls, wraps and salads.

The chain began franchising in 2018 and now has more than 50 locations open, with additional units in development in Michigan, Ohio, Florida and Georgia.
