Rusty Taco is expanding its national footprint through nontraditional venues, including airports, convenience stores and entertainment destinations. The Dallas-based street taco brand will open its second location at Washington Dulles International Airport and its first at Norfolk International Airport this fall. It also plans to open a location at Bowlski's, a bowling alley and live music venue at 1825 Abrams Parkway in Dallas.

The openings are part of Rusty Taco's broader development strategy, according to the company.

"Our growth in airports and other nontraditional venues is a strong example of how we can adapt to different environments while still delivering the same fresh menu guests know and love," David Gonzalez, vice president of development for Rusty Taco parent Gala Capital Partners, said in a press release.

The venues also give the brand access to consumers who may be encountering Rusty Taco for the first time, Gonzalez said.

In addition to airports and entertainment venues, Rusty Taco has locations in convenience stores and on college campuses.

The brand currently has 28 locations and is seeking additional franchisees and development partners for expansion.
