Restaurant POS company, Qu, has launched a new data-centric platform that it said in a news release remedies the fragmented ordering, production and brand management chaos experienced by restaurateurs.

The new POS platform gives operators control of configurations through an enterprise management hub, with what Qu said are "industry-first features" like Dynamic Stores and Dynamic Items, which provide operators more flexibility and customization capability.

"We're on a mission to end the menu management madness that's causing massive amounts of fragmentation and inefficiency and holding back enterprise operators today," Qu CEO Amir Hudda, said in the release. "Fast-casual and quick service restaurants have been constrained for too long by POS solutions that fail to offer the flexibility, control, and dynamic features they desperately need to create brand and revenue-boosting guest experiences."

The platform has one consistent open API structure, supported by a centralized core processing engine for all order, from those placed in-store, on the website or through third-party delivery services, allowing menu item management in one place, with the ability to customize based on context and attributes.

The POS features:

  • Qu-1MENU Management System that's unified to manage cross-channel menus through a centralized dashboard, supported by one master menu and dynamic items.
  • Direct Third-Party Delivery Integrations processed through the 1-MENU management system to alleviate 3PD challenges.
  • The Enterprise Management Hub features Dynamic Stores to provide better control and data governance and six ways to configure store groups, through menu, store location, employees, tax, discounts and service charges.
  • Dynamic Items allows for item customization, multiple dimension layers and attribute addition based on context  without altering the master item. And the Integrated Digital Suite delivers a consistent brand experience across online, kiosk and mobile channels with branded templates to improve the guest experience.
  • Flexible Hardware Options include terminals, tablets and kiosks, as well as self-order screens and hand-held devices.
