&pizza to launch 1st location in Georgia

&pizza is bringing its signature edge, energy and cult-favorite pies to Georgia. The brand's first restaurant in the state is expected to open this September in Atlanta's West Midtown neighborhood, according to a press release.

Located at 1042 Northside Drive, Suite M110, the 1,100-square-foot shop is under construction.

The location will be owned and operated by local franchisees Mike Supplice and Rodney Lewis II. Supplice has been a DeKalb County resident for four years, while Lewis has lived in Cobb County for a decade and currently owns and operates The Peach Cobbler Factory in nearby Smyrna.

"From the first time we experienced &pizza, we knew it was a brand we wanted to be part of," Supplice and Lewis said in the release. "Not only is the food incredible, but the energy is contagious and the brand isn't afraid to do things differently. Our favorite pie is the Dirty Bird because it perfectly captures the bold flavors and creativity that set &pizza apart. We believe Atlanta is the perfect place for &pizza's first Georgia location, and we're excited to create a welcoming place where students, families, professionals and visitors can enjoy great food while becoming part of the community."

Brett Willis, chief development officer for Latitude Food Group, said Supplice and Lewis will help introduce the brand to a new community located just minutes from Georgia Tech.

The Atlanta opening marks another milestone in &pizza's continued expansion under Latitude Food Group. The brand is preparing to enter Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Nevada, while also pursuing international growth with planned development across India.

&pizza was founded in 2012 and has locations across the East Coast in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia.
