Paris Baguette reached two milestones with the opening of its newest café at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL): its 300th U.S. location and its first nontraditional venue.

The bakery café franchise, headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, opened the new location in Terminal C at PHL in partnership with airport concessions operator Onsite Retailers.

"Expanding our footprint is exciting, but this is also a strategic milestone," Paris Baguette CEO Darren Tipton said in a press release. "By entering the airport space, we're proving that the high-quality, artisan bakery experience can thrive in diverse environments, opening the door to serve a high volume of global travelers and entering a new phase of growth that includes expansion in nontraditional hubs."

The PHL café is operated by Onsite Retailers, a Mitchellville, Maryland-based airport concessions company owned by Terri and Sandy Roberts. According to the company's website, Onsite Retailers operates more than 30 brands across 11 major U.S. airports.

Paris Baguette has opened 77 cafés so far this year, including a May 27 location in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The company also has signed 300 agreements for future development, bringing its pipeline to more than 600 units in various stages of development.

The company said it remains on track to reach its goal of opening 1,000 U.S. cafés by 2030.

Paris Baguette operates more than 4,000 locations globally. The brand began franchising in the U.S. in 2015 and has since expanded to more than 300 locations across North America.
