Mo’ Bettahs expands in home state with Highland, Utah opening

Fast casual Hawaiian lunch plate brand Mo' Bettahs is continuing its expansion in its home state of Utah with the opening of a restaurant at 10969 N. Town Center Boulevard in Highland. The Sept. 25 opening was the brand's 36th in Utah and 83rd nationwide.

"Utah will always be a special place for Mo' Bettahs because it's where Kimo (Mack) and I first had the chance to share the food and traditions we grew up with," Kalani Mack, co-founder of Mo' Bettahs, said in a press release. "Nearly 20 years later, it means a lot to continue growing here and welcoming new communities like Highland into our ʻohana'."

The Bountiful, Utah-based company, backed by Savory Restaurant Fund, Blue Marlin Partners and Trive Capital, is focused on company-led growth rather than franchising. The strategy allows Mo' Bettahs to maintain control over its recipes as it expands in new and existing markets.

In addition to Utah, Mo' Bettahs operates in Arizona, Idaho, Indiana, Minnesota, Oklahoma and Texas.
