The first restaurant is scheduled to open in September at 4049 Little Blue Parkway in Independence, Missouri. A second location is expected to open in Harrisonville, Missouri, by the end of the year.
Future restaurants are planned for Douglas, Johnson, Leavenworth and Wyandotte counties in Kansas, as well as Cass, Clay, Jackson and Platte counties in Missouri.
"As Huey Magoo's continues to grow its reach across the country, we've had our eye on Kansas City as a key market to introduce our handcrafted chicken tenders to a new fanbase," Andy Howard, president and CEO of Huey Magoo's, said in a press release.
Howard added that Midwest Restaurant Group's regional experience and familiarity with the brand made it a strong fit for the expansion effort.
Huey Magoo's operates locations across 12 states. The Kansas City deal moves Huey Magoo's closer to the100-locationmilestone the company plans to reach by the end of 2026.
