Chicken Salad Chick will open its newest restaurant Aug. 19 at 1016 Burkemont Ave., in Morganton, North Carolina, continuing the Atlanta-based chain's expansion.

The restaurant is owned and operated by Allison Anderson and Sunny Murtaza, who opened their first Chicken Salad Chick location in Hickory, North Carolina, in 2024. Additional Tar Heel State restaurants are in Raleigh-Durham, Wilmington, Cary and Hickory.

As part of its pre-opening events, the Morganton restaurant will raise money for Casting for Hope, a nonprofit that provides financial and emotional assistance to North Carolina women living with ovarian and other gynecological cancers.

Headquartered in Atlanta, Chicken Salad Chick has more than 345 restaurants across 25 states. The chain recently opened locations in Pleasant Grove, Utah, and Apple Valley, Minnesota, and signed a 25-unit franchise agreement for restaurants in Upstate New York.
