The popularity of gluten-free menu items has inspired Burke Corporation, a provider of fully cooked meats and pizza toppings, to roll out its Gluten-Free Meatball.
Operators who cater to gluten-free customers can significantly boost their bottom lines, according to a company press release, because 11 percent of Americans have some kind of gluten sensitivity, from a wheat allergy to celiac disease.
Pre-cooked and baked — not fried — Burke Gluten-Free Meatballs, made from premium-quality beef and pork, retain their flavor and have a firm texture, according to the company.
