Apple has teamed up with Starbucks to offer its "Pick of the Week" program to Starbucks fans in the UK, according to the Telegram.
The program, which has been live in the U.S. since 2006, features a free weekly download via iTunes each week. Customers receive cards with purchases that allow them to download the free song.
The announcement comes a week after Starbucks announced that free WiFi is now available in all its UK stores.
James Morrison's latest track, My Dreams, is the first song featured. To mark the launch of the service, there will also be a free iBook, Limitless by Alan Glynn.
Future artists will include Coldplay, Tony Bennett and The Kooks.
From the story:
Brian Waring, vice president of marketing and category for Starbucks UK and Ireland, said: "Digital offers are very important to us and making WiFi freely available across our stores is the foundation for many other plans we have moving forward...Content partnerships are key and we also have an extremely exciting digital programme ahead for 2012."
