Why Dairy Queen added virtual reality to training program
Kim Brastad of Dairy Queen revealed at this year's Restaurant Franchising & Innovation Summit in Dallas that the chain has rolled out a new learning management system that allows employees to practice virtually preparing food and serving customers before doing it in real life.
"It really helps put them at ease so they get a little bit of virtual practice before they actually head into the grill area or the chill area and then work with their manager or trainer on the hands-on portion of the training," she said during in an interview with Tim Tang of Hughes.
The next step, Brastad said, will be gamification. Watch the video to hear all about it.
