Schlotzsky's scored a huge win in 2014 with the launch of its "Lotz4Me" app, which rocketed to the near the top of restaurants apps in app stores. It's hoping to score again in 2015 with the launch of its new game feature.

What's driving the success? It's not shiny, new technology as much as an investment in training front-line employee brand ambassadors to champion the app with customers.
