Washington gets a big drinks upgrade with L&L Hawaiian BBQ, Botrista Partnership
A Tumwater-based L&L Hawaiian Barbecue franchise is fast becoming a destination experience following the addition of new premium, on-menu beverages. Among the first in Washington to launch L&L's new Botrista drink platform, they've sold thousands of craft drinks since the launch and are serving up creative cultural refreshments in celebration.

Tumwater, WA - Fans of L&L Hawaiian Barbecue's mouthwatering plate lunches now have a new reason to visit their location in Tumwater - a premium craft beverage menu featuring tropical lemonades, smoothies, and authentic boba teas. This is thanks to L&L's partnership with Botrista, the leading trending beverage solution platform.
"Customers love that this is now a one stop shop," said Tia Matautia, who co-owns the Tumwater L&L location with her sister Nalani. "We've become a destination not just for our signature Hawaiian barbecue, but for our incredible boba teas and refreshing Lilikoi drinks too."
Standout beverages include the Lilikoi (passionfruit) Lemonade, a naturally sweet and zesty lemonade made with the iconic Hawaiian superfruit, as well as the ultra-creamy Taro Smoothie. A rotating selection of boba tea flavors like classic, taro, matcha and strawberry are also available to pair alongside the nostalgic flavors of Hawaiian lunch plates.
"Botrista allows us to serve these drinks quickly, so guests can still enjoy the convenient speed without sacrificing any flavor" Nalani Matautia explained. "Our staff finds the machine easy to use, while our guests have enjoyed the refreshing quality."
The Tumwater franchisees were among the first in Washington to launch L&L's new Botrista drink platform. Since their Spring 2024 launch, they've already sold over 3,000 new craft drinks, showcasing the immense demand for things like matcha milk tea, pineapple coconut smoothies and more.
