Wingstop fans can now place orders via SMS text, according to a press release.
"Texting has become one of the leading methods of communication today, so what's more natural than inviting our fans to feed their flavor cravings by placing an order in the way that feels most comfortable and familiar?" CEO Stacy Peterson said in the release.
"Wingstop was one of the first restaurant brands to launch social ordering via Twitter and Facebook Messenger, plus the first to offer voice-activated ordering with menu customization through Amazon Echo powered by Alexa. We're now just taking that conversation one step further, making digital ordering more convenient and effortless than ever before," she said.
To engage Wingbot, Wingstop's virtual ordering assistant, and begin the ordering process, users must text "order" to "WINGS" (or "94647), submit their zip code, select a menu item and receive pickup directions, according to the release.
