Tocaya unveils summer happy hour menu

Fast-casual Mexican restaurant chain Tocayahas introduced a summer happy hour menu featuring drink specials, small bites and tortas. The menu is available for a limited time at all eight Tocaya locations Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., a according to a company press release.

During happy hour, guests can order beer and wine for $3 and margaritas starting at $6.

The Los Angeles-based company is also introducing two new menu items. Chicken Flaquitos feature crispy flour tortillas filled with house-made chicken tinga, smashed pinto beans, Oaxaca cheese and creamy salsa verde.

The Summer Shrimp Ceviche combines poached shrimp with a Tapatio-lime marinade, smoky heirloom tomatoes and jalapeño sauce, served with tortilla chips.

Other happy hour offerings include the Chicken and Potato Torta, made with seasoned chicken and potatoes on toasted bread, and the Birria Torta, featuring slow-cooked birria.

Tocaya operates restaurants in Southern California and the Phoenix metropolitan area.
