Tiki Taco is expanding its Kansas City footprint next week with a location in the city's Crossroads Arts District, marking the fast casual brand's seventh open restaurant in the metro area.

The Kansas City-based taco concept opened itssixth location in July and has three additional locations in development.

The Crossroads location will offer Tiki Taco's full menu of street tacos, burritos, bowls, desserts and beer, with protein options including al pastor, carne asada, chicken, carnitas, shrimp, mushrooms and Impossible Meat. The restaurant also will offer catering and the brand's loyalty program through its mobile app.

"We've been a part of Kansas City for a long time, and the Crossroads is a neighborhood we've wanted to be in for a while," Eric Knott, CEO of Tiki Taco, said in a company press release. "It's full of people who appreciate good food, support local, and show up for their community — which is exactly who we built this for."

The Crossroads Arts District is home to galleries, restaurants and other independent businesses and is known for its First Friday events. Tiki Taco said the new location is intended to serve neighborhood residents, artists, after-work customers and visitors.

The expansion continues Tiki Taco's growth in the Kansas City market, where the brand has built its footprint around street food, fresh ingredients and value.
