Fast-casual brandsPei Wei Asian Kitchen and Gyro Hut are modernizing restaurant operations and enhancing guest experiences through new and expanded technology agreements with NCR Voyix.
The partnerships center on providing both brands with enterprise-grade operational tools, specifically the next-generation point-of-sale solution Aloha Next. By leveraging a unified commerce platform, the brands aim to maintain high-speed service and operational consistency as they scale.
For Pei Wei, the expanded agreement reinforces its existing technology foundation while paving the way for future upgrades. The brand, known for its Asian-inspired cuisine, is prioritizing stability and uptime across its footprint.
"Pei Wei is a disciplined restaurant brand that understands the importance of stability and consistency at scale," Miguel Solares, chief revenue officer of restaurants at NCR Voyix, said in a press release. "We value our long-standing relationship and are proud to support their operations while making next-generation capabilities available."
Gyro Hut, a Mediterranean concept based in Houston, selected the NCR Voyix platform to serve as the backbone for its expansion beyond the Texas market. The brand is migrating to Aloha Next to ensure that its "NYC-style" service model remains efficient as it grows from its food-cart roots into a regional leader.
"As we continue to scale, it's important to have the technology and partnership that is able to support our growth aspirations," Antonio Lopez, director of operations at Gyro Hut, said in the release. "NCR Voyix's industry-leading platform and insight... will enable us to operate more effectively."
The collaboration highlights a growing trend in the fast casual sector: the adoption of "enterprise-grade" tech by mid-market brands to compete with global giants. By using a unified platform, these operators can access sophisticated data and operational tools that were previously reserved for the industry's largest players.
"Our solutions are built to provide enterprise-grade capabilities that help operators scale with confidence," Solares said.
NCR Voyix, headquartered in Atlanta, provides retail and restaurant solutions in more than 35 countries, focusing on end-to-end payments and flexible commerce platforms.
