Pei Wei comps slip for Q2

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Pei Wei, the fast-casual subsidiary of P.F. Chang's China Bistro, said comps declined for the second quarter ended July 2, 2006.

The fast-casual Asian concept said same-store sales decreased 3.9 percent, while net income dropped $350,000.

Because of the lower revenue trends, the company said it is revising its full-year forecast. At Pei Wei, comps growth expectations declined from 1.4 percent and 2.4 percent to minus 2.4 percent and 1.1 percent in the third and fourth quarters respectively.
