Panda Express launches "Garlic Creations"

ROSEMEAD, Calif. — The power of garlic can be experienced at Panda Express from April 26 through June 17, when Panda chefs celebrate the Garlic Creations promotion featured at more than 800 restaurants nationwide. The three entrées featured will be Garlic Chicken Breast with String Beans, Garlic Shrimp with Asparagus and Garlic Beef with Sugar Peas. 
 
During the eight-week promotion, Panda Express expects to use more than 50,000 pounds of garlic. According to a news release, Garlic's aroma and flavor is a prominent characteristic in Szechwan and northern-style Chinese cooking.  Chef Andy Kao, director of menu innovation at Panda Express, is excited to share his favorite garlic creations that he has been perfecting for years to include a wide variety of textures and robust flavors.
 
"Garlic has greatly influenced the Chinese culture, which has been documented in poems by Confucius as well as Chinese Sanskrit writings," Chef Kao said.
