North Carolina welcomes first Potbelly
North Carolina’s first Potbelly Sandwich Shop, located in Greensboro, is now open under the direction of franchisee Carter Spradling.
"My wife and I lived in Maryland for a few years. During that time, we came to truly enjoy eating at Potbelly," Spradling said. "We always talked about how we wished Potbelly was in Greensboro and how well it would do here. Now we’re putting our money where our mouths are."
Greensboro’s Potbelly Sandwich Shop is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday though Sunday.
"Carter and his team are perfect for the Potbelly family and we are thrilled to share our mouthwatering shakes and sandwiches with our fans here in Greensboro," said Rick Fossali, senior director of domestic franchising for Potbelly. "Every new sandwich shop is modeled after the community it resides in, and Carter has a deep history with the community that Potbelly looks for in franchise partners."
Potbelly Sandwich Shop first opened in Chicago in 1977, and now includes more than 300 shops across the U.S. There are also 20-plus franchise shops in the U.S. and abroad, and the company is projecting more franchised shops to open this year.
