Zip Schedules provides a stream-lined system for operators and managers to create clear, manageable employee schedules.

August 14, 2015

The National Restaurant Association has partnered with Zip Schedules, a Web-based scheduling and employee communication software service offered by Hubworks to help streamline communication among employees, according to a company  press release.

Zip Schedules provides a stream-lined system for operators and managers to create clear, manageable employee schedules, said Hubworks Senior Product Manager Erika. The platform includes scheduling, time-off management, self-maintained employee availability, schedule templates and the ability to communicate easily between all team members.

"As we continue our efforts in offering tools and solutions that help our members manage and grow their businesses, we are excited to join with Zip Schedules to provide access to a platform that can simplify the scheduling process, while also streamlining communication among employees," said Phil Kafarak, chief innovation and member advancement officer for the National Restaurant Association.

"Hubworks has been doing a lot of research into what restaurant operators want and need to make their operations more efficient and control operating costs," said Jelovsek. "Operators are searching for ways to get control over rising costs. One effective tool our customers have found useful in controlling costs and reversing turnover is a web-based scheduling software that empowers employees to have more control over their schedule and time-off requests.”

Zip Schedules also includes a free mobile app, available on iPhone and Android, to facilitate schedule delivery and team communication. Using the app, managers can view current and future work schedules, approve shift trades, receive time-off requests and send updates to employees. Employees can view their schedules, offer and accept shift swaps and request time off from their mobile devices.
