ABERDEEN, N.C. — Meridian Kiosks, a manufacturer of kiosks and self-service terminals, has announced that it has teamed with Tyco Electronics' Elo TouchSystems business unit to provide self-service ordering stations in restaurants and convenience stores.
The first units have been deployed at a number of locations throughout the Midwest.
The kiosks can accept payment in any format: credit/debit card, checks, bills and coin. Overhead signage/displays and dynamic menus are options.
"Food ordering stations have been piloted for years in all kinds all settings, and reliability is usually a determining factor as to whether a solution is fully deployed," said Chris Gilder, chief executive officer of Meridian Kiosks. "We rely on Elo TouchSystems products for their quality and commitment to deliver an unparalleled customer experience."
