Marco's adds Best Pizza Franchise designation to awards
Marco's Pizza is having its day. A Harris poll announced Tuesday that the brand made its Top 5 list for brand equity, and now the chain has been designated "Best of the Best" pizza franchise in Entrepreneur magazine's rankings, a news release said. Those honors follow the chain's recent designation as the consumer's "favorite pizza chain" in a Market Force consumer survey.
"Being recognized as the best pizza franchise investment is phenomenal, but to be ranked by consumers as their favorite pizza company adds to our confidence that we are doing a lot of things right," Marco’s Pizza President Bryon Stephens said in a news release. "When a company moves as fast as we do, it’s good to hear both from the industry and from our guests that we're on the right track. We will continue to invest significantly in our mission to be the pizza of choice, an employer of choice, and the partner of choice in every local community we serve."
The magazine's "Best of the Best" list is a re-compilation of the Entrepreneur 500 released earlier this year and puts Marco’s as the strongest franchise in the pizza category. Marco’s ranked No. 38 overall among the 500 franchise brands across all categories.
The Market Force survey was designed to identify America’s favorite QSR brands in the burger, Mexican, pizza, chicken and sandwich category, by polling more than 11,000 consumers on each brand in areas like value, food quality and atmosphere.This was the first time Marco's topped that list as favorite pizza chain.
Opening a new store on average every three days, Marco’s Pizza is on track to add over 100 new locations this year and aims to have 1,500 locations open by 2020, according to the release.
