Love & Honey Fried Chicken, a Philadelphia-founded fast-casual restaurant brand known for its chef-driven menu, is expanding into Massachusetts as part of a broader East Coast growth strategy.
Following its recent entry into Rhode Island with a restaurant in Cranston, the company is seeking experienced multi-unit operators to launch its first franchise locations in the Commonwealth.
Priority markets for development include Greater Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Worcester, Springfield and the North and South Shore regions.
"Massachusetts is a natural step for Love & Honey as we continue building our footprint across the East Coast," Laura Lyons, co-founder and chief executive officer of Love & Honey Fried Chicken, said in a statement. "We believe the same quality, warmth, and sense of community will resonate with guests across Boston and the surrounding communities."
Founded in Philadelphia in 2017, Love & Honey features hand-dredged fried chicken, scratch-made sauces, and house-made sides. The company uses antibiotic-free, Halal-certified chicken sourced through Coleman Natural Foods, supported by a national supply distribution agreement with Sysco.
Company leadership highlighted the state's dining culture as a key factor in the expansion plan.
"As a Boston native, I know this market better than most and I know Massachusetts guests won't settle for anything less than great food and a real sense of community," Geoff Goodman, president of Love & Honey Fried Chicken, said in the statement.
To support its growth, Love & Honey is offering incentive programs for multi-unit operators, including a $5,000 franchise fee discount for military veterans.
