Kutlerri.ai has raised $4 million from Houston-based Narahari Investments to accelerate development of its AI-powered agents, which are designed to increase restaurant revenue and reduce operating costs.
The company said the funding will support the expansion of its catering agent and the development of additional products. It also plans to introduce a mobile-first self-service application for smaller restaurant operators.
The catering agent handles inbound inquiries, proposals, follow-ups and order closing across phone, email, text, chat and web forms. It also generates outbound sales by identifying businesses within a restaurant's market and contacting potential catering customers. Kutlerri.ai operates its agents as a managed service and charges based on the revenue generated or costs reduced, rather than on a traditional monthly software subscription.
The company's first product, an AI Catering Sales Agent, is already being used by restaurant operators in major U.S. markets. Kutlerri.ai said the agent has generated $450,000 in new catering revenue for fast-casual restaurant group RASA over 10 months, more than 10 times what RASA paid for the service.
Kutlerri.ai, headquartered in Stafford, Texas, currently has three additional agents in beta that focus on third-party delivery sales, delivery marketing spend and prime-cost optimization. Two more, targeting online ordering and daily food-prep and waste control, are also in development.
