I Dream of Falafel is gearing up to go “back to school” with the next session of its cooking class series. On Aug. 25, executive chef Henry Nuguid will teach guests of all ages how to prepare a healthy lunch or snack for children to take with them to school. Participants will be treated to a lunch following the cooking class where they will get to taste the Mediterranean creations prepared in the class along with the recipes. On the menu: hummus, chicken kebabs and couscous.
I Dream of Falafel also will spread the word about children’s nutrition through a partnership with Common Threads, a nonprofit organization that educates children on the importance of nutrition and physical well-being. From Aug. 25 through Sept. 3, I Dream of Falafel will donate a portion of the proceeds from purchases of the children’s hummus at all three Chicago Loop locations to Common Threads.
