Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill donates nonperishables to Colo. fire relief efforts

Through the help and generosity of its guests, Denver-based Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill has donated more than 500 pounds of nonperishable food items to Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado and the Fort Collins Foothills Mall Fire Relief Center for victims of the Colorado wildfires that raged throughout the state earlier this summer.

Food collection bins were placed in all 14 Colorado Garbanzo restaurants for two weeks. Guests who brought in a nonperishable item received 10 percent off their purchase at the time of donation.

“The numerous wildfires in June and July were a devastating blow to our state, residents and several of our employees who live in or close by the evacuation areas,” said Alon Mor, Garbanzo founder, president and CEO. “We are overjoyed by the outpouring of support from our guests and proud to donate more than 500 pounds of nonperishable items to Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado and the Fort Collins Foothills Mall Fire Relief Center. We remain committed to our communities and hope the food donations will be helpful to those affected by the wildfires.”
