Chipotle Mexican Grill opened its 1,500th Chipotlane Sept. 29 at 16680 SR 64 East in Bradenton, Florida.
The restaurant features Chipotle's new Habanero design and high-efficiency equipment package, which the company said is designed to improve operational efficiency.
Chipotle has added 500 Chipotlanes in less than two years, making the drive-thru pickup format a key part of its development strategy. Launched in 2018, Chipotlanes allow customers to pick up prepaid digital orders placed through the company's app or website.
"Chipotlanes are a powerful growth engine for Chipotle, delivering greater convenience and access for our guests while driving strong restaurant performance," CEO Jason Kidd said in a press release.
The Newport Beach, California-based company said restaurants with Chipotlanes generate higher volumes and greater returns than traditional locations.
Chipotle opened 334 company-owned restaurants in 2025, including 257 with Chipotlanes. The company plans to open up to 370 restaurants in 2026 as it works toward a long-term goal of 7,000 locations in the U.S. and Canada.
Chipotle has more than 4,200 locations across the U.S., Canada, the U.K., France, Germany and the Middle East.
