Chicken Salad Chick continues Florida expansion with Sarasota debut

Chicken Salad Chick will open a restaurant in Sarasota, Florida, on Sept. 29 as part of its continued expansion across the state.

The restaurant, located at 6650 Fruitville Road in the Fruitville Farms Shopping Center, is being developed through a franchise agreement with Manasota Chick LLC.

Grand-opening week activities will include promotions and giveaways. Sportscaster Dick Vitale also will appear to help the restaurant raise money for the V Foundation for Cancer Research.

Manasota Chick, led by Karen Jordan, also operates Chicken Salad Chick restaurants in Bradenton and Parrish, Florida.

"Karen is an amazing franchise owner and her passion for serving others has been vital for our growth in Southwest Florida," Scott Deviney, president and CEO of Chicken Salad Chick, said in a press release.

The Sarasota opening follows other Florida expansions. In late 2025, the Atlanta-based chain signed franchise agreements for restaurants in Orlando, Lakeland and Viera. During 2026, Chicken Salad Chick opened locations in markets including Palm Coast and Lake City.

Atlanta-based Chicken Salad Chick has more than 345 restaurants across 27 states.
