Charleys Cheesesteaks & Wings has opened a location at Olde Forte Village, located at 970 E. Swan Creek Road, in Fort Washington, Maryland, providing a new lunch and dinner option for local residents, according to a press release.

To celebrate the opening, the first 30 guests in line received a free Charleys Combo Meal, which includes a small cheesesteak, fries and a drink.

The 1,100-square-foot restaurant offers a quick-service dining option along the Indian Head Highway corridor. It is situated within Olde Forte Village, a neighborhood shopping center near Indian Head Highway and East Swan Creek Road.

The restaurant is owned by longtime franchisee Chanel Li, who joined the system in 2007. This marks Li's 12th Charleys location and will be managed by Sean Zhu.

"Fort Washington is a strong community, and Olde Forte Village gives us a convenient location where people already shop, work and spend time," Li said in the press release. "Our team is excited to open today, create local jobs and welcome guests with fresh, hot cheesesteaks, wings and fries."

Founded in 1986 near The Ohio State University campus, Charleys has grown from a college favorite into a national brand known for grilled-to-order cheesesteaks, wings, loaded fries, shakes and lemonades. The company has more than 850 locations.
