Captain D’s recognizes superior performance

At Captain D's annual convention last week, top performers were recognized for leadership that resulted in high sales volume.

"Our franchisees continue to do an outstanding job providing unparalleled service to the customers they serve and have shown guest-focused leadership as they've led their teams to great success over the past year," Phil Greifeld, CEO and president of Captain D's, said in a release.

2015 saw the launch of new menu items and promotions, which resulted in an average unit volume system-wide record, and the third year of AUV growth. In Q2 2016, Captain D's recorded a 3.1 percent system-wide same store sales increase.

Additionally, 10 franchise owners were named to the President's Club due to a high level of sales revenue:

• Robbie Copehnaver, Sandy Haury and Newton Cannon – Scottsboro, Alabama;
• David Simmons, Mike Tidwell and Wes Cummings – Milledgeville, Georgia;
• David Simmons, Mike Tidwell and Roy Williams – Greenville, Mississippi; and
• Mark Sweeney, Robert Weedon and Dave Ludlow – Fredricksburg and Richmond, Virginia.

Ben Patel, Jim and Val McClure, Brian Smith and Rodney Coats were named Developers of the Year, and John Murphy, Ronnie Newell and Rob Gassel received the Mission and Values Award.
