Baja Fresh sales dip in Q1

DUBLIN, Ohio — Baja Fresh Mexican Grill's system same-store sales declined 3.6-3.8 percent. The restaurant's parent, Wendy's International Inc., announced that Wendy's same-store sales dipped 4.8 percent as well at its U.S. corporate stores and 5.2 percent at franchised stores for the first quarter, ended April 2, 2006.
According to a news release, the news was better for Tim Hortons, where same-store sales increased 8.7 percent at restaurants in Canada and 9.8 percent in the U.S.
