Fast casual snack concept on a mission to give back

A fast casual snack shop with the goal of giving back to the community is now open in Milton, Georgia, thanks to a partnership between Georgia Franchise Group and Remarkable Brands, the owner of a variety of brands across 35 U.S. states, Mexico and Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.

Purpose Snackery, which is located in the Crabapple Market at 12630 Crabapple Road, is a "category-redefining snack shop that encourages its independent franchisees to make an impact in the communities they serve," Geoff Goodman, president of Remarkable Brands, said in a company press release

The upscale-casual snack shop concept features flatbreads and toasts (Snackbreads) made with local ingredients, as well as handcrafted sodas, frozen treats (fueled by Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt) and signature cold brew coffee drinks featuring craft coffee from Oklahoma City-based roaster, EÔTÉ Coffee Company, according to the release.

The Snackbreads menu includes a Peach Ricotta Toast drizzled with Savannah Bee Company honey and a Bacon, Goat Cheese & Fig Flatbread that's finished with Atlanta-based Emily G's Fig Pomegranate Jam. The menu also features fresh fruit smoothies and a variety of grab-and-go snack offerings.

"Yes, we are excited about the unique products being offered, but the real pride comes from seeing what a team of people can accomplish when they find Purpose," Goodman said. "The aim is to inspire and create value with those whom we are fortunate enough to build a relationship with."

Todd Broaderick, president of Georgia Franchise Group, said the concept is about engaging with the community to positively impact their lives.

"With the opening of the first Purpose Snackery in Milton, we will be looking for great people who share our desire to build something remarkable, and are excited to spread the Purpose Snackery values in Georgia," he said in the release.

The restaurant — designed by Chute-Gerdeman in Columbus, Ohio — includes custom features such as a beverage bar featuring reclaimed wood from Atlanta-based, Lamon Luther. The 1,200-square-foot space was designed for social gatherings with a variety of seating types, including a shaded outdoor patio for guests to enjoy the Crabapple Market atmosphere.

Purpose beyond profit

Each independent franchisee is encouraged to make a difference in their community by partnering with a local organization to provide a platform for awareness through in-store and community outreach efforts, according to the release.

The Milton location, for example, has partnered with the Atlanta-based End It movement, an organization formed to increase awareness of its coalition partners fighting human trafficking in the U.S. and around the world.

Pathway to Purpose

In an effort to help franchisees become tomorrow's leaders, the company gives them customized content and resources through a comprehensive leadership development platform called RemarkableMe. The goal, according to the release, is to harness the natural relationship that exists between a mentor and mentee to learn, practice and teach via a mobile app experience.

Also, the RemarkableMe mobile app hosts a diverse catalog of content developed by and for Purpose Snackery and/or licensed content from third-party content creators.  The app is available for download from the Apple and Android stores and is accessible to members of the Purpose Snackery franchise system.
