Wingstop wins award for best company, TV ad

DALLAS — Wingstop has announced that it has won two Stevie Awards for Best Overall Company in the companies with more than 2,500 employees category, and Best TV or Cinema Ad Campaign, at the The 2008 American Business Awards.
 
The awards were presented during ceremonies at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City, hosted by Cheryl Casone of Fox Business Network.
 
Stevie Awards were presented in more than 40 categories including Best Overall Company, Best Executive and Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program. More than 2,600 entries were submitted for consideration.
 
The winning Wingstop TV Ad Campaign, "Wing Fanatics," was produced by El Creative Design and Advertising of Dallas, and directed by Stone Core Films.In winning the Stevie for Best Overall Company, Wingstop beat out other finalists such as Kronos Inc. and McAfee.
 
Members of the awards' board of distinguished judges and advisors, and their staffs, selected Stevie winners from among the finalists. Finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April and May.
