Vapiano franchising CEO named to exec board

Vapiano CEO Mario C. Bauer, will take a seat Jan 1, 2017, on the executive board for Vapiano SE, with responsibilities for developing new markets, new market entries and expanding the brand globally, according to a company press release. 

"Mario C. Bauer has developed our brand for years," Vapiano SE CEO Jochen Halfmann, said in a news release. "His main strength is not only his personal international competence but also his longtime experience in the areas of expansion and franchising, which (are) very important for our future business development."

Bauer founded Bagel Station in Vienna, Austria and later developed franchising skills at Apeiron AG. Since 2011, he has led the efforts of Vapiano Franchising International GmbH in Luxembourg, according to the release.
