Uncle Tetsu Japanese Cheesecake is opening its first California location Sept. 9 in Arcadia, under the direction of the Panda Restaurant Group, according to a news release.
"Since I started my first restaurant in Hakata, we have been working diligently to share our tasty Japanese cheesecakes with the rest of the world and have opened over 80 stores across the globe," said Tetsushi Mizokami, president of Uncle Tetsu Japanese Cheesecake. "Thanks to the support of Panda Restaurant Group, our family-owned business is now becoming a reality in the U.S. We're honored to have the chance to share our desserts with the residents of Arcadia."
The location is owned by Panda Restaurant Group founders, Andrew and Peggy Cherng.
"We are honored to continue to support the growth of Uncle Tetsu's Japanese Cheesecake in the U.S. market and help establish the brand as the go-to destination for authentic Asian dessert options," Andrew Cherng said in the release.
