Tijuana Flats launches Just in Queso charitable fund
January 31, 2007
ORLANDO, Fla. — Tijuana Flats Burrito Co. announced Jan. 29 that it has created a not-for-profit fund to aid people and programs in need. The Tijuana Flats Just in Queso Fund will be supported by 100 percent of the proceeds from the restaurant's Just in Queso Mojo Mango sauce. "We are always looking for ways to expand our role as a charitable contributor to the community," said Camp Fitch, Tijuana Flats president and chief executive officer. "'Just in Queso' is a great way to funnel all the proceeds from our new Mojo Mango sauce directly to those who need help the most." Through the Just in Queso Fund and the sales of the restaurant's Just in Queso Mojo Mango sauce, Tijuana Flats will assist organizations and individuals with various needs, as well as continue its donations to Frontline Head Start Foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation and American Red Cross Hurricane Relief. Tijuana Flats recently raised more than $38,000 for Soldiers' Angels, an all-volunteer organization that provides aid and comfort to the armed forces by sending care packages to deployed soldiers and their loved ones at home.
