Study predicts summer's Top 10 most delivered food

When it comes to food delivery this summer, the top items illustrate a wide range of tastes as well as beverage choices.

Leading the most popular food choices is arroz con pollo followed by turkey sandwiches and poke selections. When it comes to drinks, milkshakes, lemondade and ice tea dominate the delivery order, according to data from Bite Squad, an on-demand restaurant delivery service.

The predictions, according to a press release, are based on trends tracked between the summer of 2017 and 2018.

Here are the top 10 expected popular food items to be delivered:
1. Arroz con pollo.
2. Turkey sandwiches.
3. Poke.
4. Hibachi.
5. Philly cheesesteak.
6. Hot dog.
7. Antipasto.
8. Sub sandwiches.
9. Mozzarella sticks.
10. Chicken wings.
 
The top 10 drink delivery items are:
1. Milkshakes.
2. Lemonade.
3. Iced tea.
4. Soda.
5. Sweet tea.
6. Thai tea.
7. Smoothies.
8. Boba milk tea.
9. Gatorade.
10. Bottled water.

The data found not all menu items grow in popularity with warmer weather. For example, during summer months, selections such as soup, pad Thai and egg rolls see a decrease in delivery interest.
