Two emerging brands pick starrdesign for prototype designs

Original Chopshop and Ruggles Green, two emerging restaurants based in Phoenix and Houston, respectively, have selected starrdesign to create prototype designs for both concept's units, according to a press release. The process includes architecture, operational analysis, design and brand development.

"We really love working with emerging brands, and while both concepts are established within their markets, we are excited to help further position them for long term growth,"Steve Starr, principal, starrdesign said in a news release. "We love both the food and the values that helped create Original ChopShop and Ruggles Green, and we look forward to bringing these core values to life in the space."

Original ChopShop serves protein bowls, salads, acai bowls, fresh squeezed juices, sandwiches and protein shakes, while Ruggles Green serves burgers, pizza, pasta and salad. The former CEO of Zoe's Kitchen, Jason Morgan, was tapped to be both concept's CEO.

"I have worked with the team at starrdesign for many years and have been impressed with the quality of their work and the creative concepts they have produced," Morgan said."We look forward to collaborating on the evolution of the Original ChopShop and Ruggles Green brands and prototypes."
