Starbucks signs deal with East Coast grocer

Starbucks signed a five-year deal with Giant Food supermarkets. The grocery chain operates in the Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
According to a news release, Giant said the shops will carry Starbucks' complete line of coffee and pastries. Certain locations will have table seating and wireless Internet access and will accept Starbucks Cards.
Details on where those locations will be were not disclosed. The Starbucks outlets will be operated and staffed by Giant employees.
Giant currently operates one Starbucks in a unit in Severna Park, Md.
"We know our customers will be thrilled with the ability to enjoy a freshly brewed espresso or cappuccino while they shop at our stores," said Bill Holmes, executive vice president and general manager of Giant.
