Brands are battling for the pumpkin spice latte lover who likes to drink healthful.

In what could be called an official battle of the pumpkin spice latte, Starbucks and Panera Bread have announced they are spicing up the fall-favored drink. with Panera making the move part of its artificial ingredient-removal effort.
Both brands are remixing their pumpkin spice latte recipes, with Starbucks adding in real pumpkin and leaving out caramel coloring and Panera removing all artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, sweeteners and high-fructose corn syrup.
Panera Bread’s newest version will hit stores Sept. 9. A news reportstates Starbucks has not yet indicated a public debut date.
